No it's not Pickleball or Padel, Real Tennis (sometimes called Court Tennis) is the world's first racquet sport. Played indoors with old wooden racquets and lots of funny rules, Real Tennis is a sport steeped in history. With only around 50 active courts in the world, it isn’t the most popular activity, but it is great fun so do give it a try if you ever get the chance!

I think there’s something about growing up in a country (Australia) so far from everything else that instils a desire to get out there and experience… more. Having briefly lived in Taiwan and South Korea, and visited over 25 other countries across Asia, Europe and Oceania, I’d say discovering new places, experiencing different cultures, and meeting all sorts of new people is one of my greatest passions.

Having made friends with a lot of international students in university, I won’t lie, I got a little bit insecure about only being able to speak one language… So naturally I decided it would be a great idea to go out and learn one of the hardest languages for English speakers to pick up! So now, when I’m not working or playing tennis, you can find me staring blankly at mandarin textbooks as I question my decisions.
